PartyPoker is the third largest online poker room in the World, but unfortunately it is closed to US players since the inception of UIEGA in 2006. It gets a little less traffic than the two majors rooms, but it is the most active room no taking US players. The benefit is that the games are softer due to the absence of the aggressive American sharks.
PartyPoker offers a generous partypoker bonus equal to 100% of your initial deposit up to $500. It hosts some very profitable games not to be missed, even at the high stakes.
PartyPoker's software incorporates all the requirements of modern online poker. This software was long considered to be quite average, but they recently made a significant upgrade. PartyPoker now has resizable tables, four color decks and players can upload the avatar of their choice. One of the things that they recently implemented and which is not seen at other poker rooms is their advanced multi-tabling functionality, such as sorting open tables onscreen, default table size, keyboard shortcuts and time-out & opportunity alerts. They also have a very handy bet-slider.
The traffic is excellent at PartyPoker and there is more than enough for any player at any level. In Texas Hold'em, ring games stakes range from $0.02/$0.04 to $25/$50 in no-limit, and $0.05/$0.10 to $250/$500 in fixed limit holdem. They have very good action in pot-limit Omaha and 7 Card Stud. And tons of no-limit holdem sit'n gos starting all the time, from $1 to over $100 buy-in.
Due to the sheer traffic size, PartyPoker runs many tournaments daily, including guaranteed ones. Their biggest tournament is the King of the Table, a $2 million Guaranteed with a championship blind structure and a buy-in of $640.
The Sunday High Roller is a $30k Guaranteed with $530 buy-in and about $18k first prize. The $300k Guaranteed Sunday has a $215 buy-in. Everyday PartyPoker has a large tournament called Super Monday, Tuesday, etc for a buy-in of $162.
There is also plenty of more affordable tournaments where you can hone your skills. Buy-ins range from $1 to $120. As PartyPoker has a lot of traffic, fields are large even for small buy-ins and offer good risk reward ratios.
The games are reputed to be softer at PartyPoker than at the other big sites, probably due to the absence of the aggressive American crowd. There are sharks as well as fish due to media coverage, but at low stakes and even some mid stakes games, you will find plenty of players willing to hand you out their money on a platter.

Already one of the most established poker rooms, its recent software upgrade gave PartyPoker's a nice boost. The PartyPoker brand provides an integrated access to other casino games, as well as backgammon and bingo for those of you looking for the ability to broaden your gambling experience.
If you are not US based, do not miss the enjoyment of playing online poker at PartyPoker. Millions of Americans do and deplore the good times before 2006 when they could participate in some of the juiciest mid and high stakes games.
